Nokia Messaging will be available through A1 from May 2009 for consumers in Austria. They will get a month trial and after the service will cost 5EUR per month. As I have said in a previous post this service will be brought to most countries by Orange.
With Nokia Messaging the user can manage up to 10 email accounts. The phones that come with the service already enabled are the brand new E75 and N96, if you own a different device then go to https://email.nokia.com and check if your phone is compatible.
“A1 aims to make mobile applications easily available for our 4.5 million customers. We have constantly proven our know-how and innovativeness with mobile email solutions. Now, we are delighted to be in the frontline in bringing Nokia Messaging to Austria. As the leading solution provider for mobile email in Austria we are again delighting our customers with an attractive offer,” said Dr. Reinhard Zuba, Head of Marketing, mobilkom austria.
“With an extremely easy-to-use application that allows consumers to access multiple email accounts on the same device, and an affordable data plan, mobile email with Nokia Messaging has the potential to become as popular as text messaging”, said Greig Williams, Managing Director, Nokia Alps South East Europe. “At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February we announced our strategy to make mobile multimedia available for everyone. Now, we take an important step in this direction through the roll-out of Nokia Messaging in Austria, in cooperation with mobilkom austria.”
Nokia is planning to launch the 6216 classic phone with a new technology called Near Field Communication or NFC. The announcement was made at the 3rd annual WIMA conference, held atGrimaldi Forum in Monaco.
The new device will be available in the third quarter of 2009 at a price range around 150 EUR, before taxes and subsidies. The NFC technology will be built in on your SIM card by the operators. At just one tap away the consumers can benefit from easier transactions and payments, no more credit cards stuffing your wallet. Just store your credit card information on your SIM and wave the phone in front of a contactless terminal.
“The Nokia 6216classic will be amongst the first commercial devices in the market complying with operator requirements using the SIM card in connection to secure transactions with Near Field Communications. With the Nokia 6216 classic in your pocket and the ticketing applications on the SIM you can replace the multitude of cards in your wallet. Having the applications on the SIM consumers can bring their secure applications to their next Nokia NFC enabled phone.” says Jeremy Belostock, head of Near Field Communications at Nokia.
TodayNokiaand Orange announced that they will continue their strategic partnership for mobile email. This is good news for NokiaE75 fans.
The E75 users will have access to the built push email but also other 30 Nokia signature devices. The two companies have started back in February 2008 and they will launch it this summer. First country that will benefit from it will be the UK . After this France and Spain will follow.
Orange customers will be able access up to 10 email accounts via the home screen. They will receive, send and reply to emails and all that on your mobile phone. Several major markets will be enjoying Nokia Messaging in 2009 with pricing and tariffs announced locally by Orange.
Nokia and Check Point Software Technologies announced that the later has just completed the acquisition of the Nokia security appliance business. Thus Check Point assumes full ownership of the business. This was initially scheduled on 22 December 2008.
The two companies have been working together for almost twelve years and that this is the culmination of their partnership. More on this on the Check Point site.
This is just a commercial for the new 7205 intrigue, it has nothing to do with the E75 but I posted it because I liked the commercial.
It is one the most spirited I have seen in a while. It also has a sense of humour that make you want to watch the commercial just for the fun of it.
Lately, the Nokia commercials have been a little dry on the funny side. Which made them boring and just not that interesting.
Most of the latest commercial have just been concentrated on the graphic part rather than what the audience might respond to. And actually make one remember it and tell his friends about this funny commercial he just saw.
The Nokia 7205 Intrigue has just been released for the USA and this is what they have chosen to use as a promotional video.
As I was googling the web today for recent news about Symbian phones, I came across a piece of news on symbian-freak.com about a new and interesting Nokia concept phone: The E97 ENVELOP‘.
Designedby FabienNauroy, a young design artist from France, this new innovativedesignis quite breathtaking. With its neat and glossyappearancethe E97 is more a work of art than a reality. The technical specifications of the phone have not yet been revealed and I think it is best that they don’t, because that way everyone can use their imagination and creates moresuspense.
The new Nokia E75 has just arrived and I think that it is a step forward for the E-series franchise. Gifted with the latest gadgets from Nokia, it is a great follow up to the E71. Of course, it is not an E71 with a slide, it is much more than that. The Release dates for this Nokia E75 is different depending on the country, but it is now for pre-order at Nokia.
DESIGN.The three colors that the Nokia E75 come in are: brick red, black and light brown.Light and slim, it is only 139g, although it features a never before-seen sliding full-QWERTY keyboard.
