As in my previous post I could not provide a picture of the Nokia 6730c, because at that time I didn’t find one. I kept on searching and BINGO!. Yesterday, I found what I was looking for.
The phone looks good and its design follows the lines of the new N series devices, such as N96 and the E75. The buttons are very stylish and easy to access unlike the previous Nokia phones.
The metal band that surrounds the phone’s slick glossy case makes it classy, setting it appart from other Nokia phones. Also, the center button is surrounded by the same metal as the band. It comes in two colours :black and white. And, unlike other Nokia phones, have no other colours but those two. Which makes them better looking.
To conclude, the phone looks awesome and I can hardly wait for the official release. The only setback is the fact that is made only for Vodafone users.
Since the E75 comes with N-Gage compatibility I thought that I should post a list of upcoming games. Some of these have been released but most of them are still in the development stages.
The game that I am looking forward is The Sims 3. I have seen a preview of the Sims 3 foriPhone and it looks amazing. The guys at Nokia have some serious competition. Let’s hope they don’t disappoint.
Anyway, here is a list of the upcoming games of 2009 for N-Gage:
As I was browsing the web I found a few interesting tutorial on how to make your own time displaying screensaver for Nokia. Here is the demo:nokia-screensaver demo video.
I will post the tutorial as soon as I am done with it. I have also created a screensaver for all you E75Blog readers. Hope you like it.
If you are a Nokia fan you can download the screensaver I made, by clicking HERE.
The Nokia E75 has just hit the market and in my country the phone costs 448,99€. On the Nokia online shop you can preorder the phone at a price of £379.00.Contrary to my expectations the phone has been brought by Vodafone. I for one thought that with the deal between Nokia&Orange for Nokia Messaging it would for sure be an Orange phone. But until now no news about the email service or the phone being available in Romania.
A1 has bought the rights to Nokia messaging for Austria, I wonder if Orange only had a contract for France and England. Althought, they said that they will hit the major markets by the end of the year. Untill now, no further news. And because of the near release of the N97, people have shift their focus from this phone.
Even Nokia has yet to release a commercial or anything about the E75 in my country. I mean its been available for almost a month and still nothing. Are they waiting for the Nokia Messaging rights to launch it along with the phone or was it released to soon after the E71. Or, perhaps it is because it was released right around the time the N97 is about to go public.
Although, Nokia has been focusing its attention on developing the messaging system and the E75 is their priority for that segment. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see if the E75 was a flop or a success.
The Bubblies is a game that uses the camera technology, a similar game I have presented a few days ago: Ninja Strike. In this you have take care of a pet and some actions can be done via the main camera. This is another amazing game that you might enjoy on your E75, I know I have.
In the end of the post you wil also find a small demo movie of what this game can do. Bubblies brings the world of mobile gaming to another level, as you will see for yourself in the video at the end of the post. You can actually interact with simulated pet through the main camera of your E75. To set up the camera you have to use a white wall and do not move the phone until the process is ready, also make sure that the room is well lit.
Moreover, the interaction with the pet is not limited to just the petting action. You can play ball, clean him or after him and others. This is one of the best pet simulator games out there, but what intrigues me is the technology used behind this game. Just think that in a few years with the help of this camera technology and accelerometer mobile gaming will have little or no use for buttons. Sadly, there are quite a few games or applications these days that use either of those.
To conclude, this is an awesome game with a great vision behind it and probably the most creative game ever. So if you want to test your E75 with such a game than visit thebubblegames.com website. Now I leave you with the video I promised from the beginning of the post.
This is the question that everybody asks themselves when they want to purchase a phone or anything by that matter. So is the NokiaE75 worth it or not? Well my answer is: heck yes!
The E75 is a great device with extended email capabilities which is one of the greatest concerns for any business man that owns a PDA or a smartphone. Most of them are not as email enabled, so to say, as the E75. Now that Orange and Nokia are planning to launch their partnership worldwide this is just easier than ever.
Moreover, the phone has some features like accelerometer and slidingfullQWERTY keyboard. The keyboard makes it easier to text and email. Which is a plus from any other phones you might find on the market these days. The email capabilities are helped by the full QWERTY keyboard as it is easier to control the phone and email your friends or business associates.
Furthermore, the accelerometer makes gaming on your phone all that much fun. And if you want you can find a lot accelerometer applications on the web. The best part is that some are freeware, as this feature is quite new in the world of mobile gaming and everybody seems to be eager to make applications for this.
So without further ado, the E75 is worth it. The price and quality ratio is quite acceptable indeed. Other phones that have this features are a lot more expensive and have less to offer than the Nokia E75.
If you do not like watching movies on your Nokia E75 in .avi format or just prefer the .mp4 quality, then I recommend a converter that is very easy to use and converts files very well. The application I am talking about is Xvid4PSP 5.0.
This program not only can convert .avi to .mp4 but it also features a lot of other conversion methods. One of the methods is for new Nokia 5800, in case you were looking for a converter. Very easy to use with a lot of predefined settings for iPod, iPhone, PSP or various other formats it is by far the best converter I have tested. The quality of the movies is quite extraordinary and the phone rendering is smooth without any delays. Some converters make the playback slow and may cause delays between sound and picture.
Furthermore, this program is a freeware so if you need a converter for your E75 or just want to convert your personal videos to a more familiar format like .avi, then this is the one for you. Just select the format from the left side of your screen and press encode. Also, with this program you can add subtitle to your movies. More advanced options can be found under the Settings button. On the left side panel are a few options for quality, contrast, audio, video and sharpness.
The Xvid4PSP application is a great converter and it makes converting easy and fun. Don’t waste time looking for a better one because this is by far the best I have tested.
As I have promised in one of my previous posts, the HandWave App review, I will be reviewing a game that uses the same technology as the AikonLab Application. The only difference is that this one uses the main camera and is developed by eyeSigh Tech.
Playing this game on the Nokia E75 is easy and fun just flick your hand in front of your camera when you want to throw the ninja stars. The game also features a camera free mode just push the center button of your E75, when you want to strike. To enable the camera as the action button you have to select eyePlay. Vibration is also an option that you might consider, as the phone vibrates when you want to attack the enemy. Also, it features sound and music controls for the game.
Furthermore, the game is quite entertaining as it requires no buttons to play. It is a simple shooter game in which you have to throw ninja stars at other ninjas. The difficulty of the game increases along with your progress through the levels. At first the opponents are mostly static and they barely, but in the higher levels they also strike back. Not to worry though the game stays pretty easy. However the camera might not pick up all of your movements so do not worry the center button of your E75 might save you when in need, or if you just do not find the camera mode responsive enough.
To conclude, the game is fun and worthwhile, especially in camera playing mode. Although, some may find it annoying to flick the hand in front of the camera, give it a whirl you might enjoy it.
I could be here making a review of Nokia E75, I could be comparing it to other phones like Nokia 5800 or Nokia E71, but let’s save that for another time and let’s look at what is missing on Nokia E75, let’s review the missing keys that would make Nokia E75 perfect.
Recently I have been thinking about what useful features the Nokia e75 should have had to make it perfect, as there is no perfect phone because each and very one of us have different taste in phones. Whether it is the design or the tiniest feature everybody wants a specific type of model.
The features are what make a phone different from one another, apart from its unique design of course. No two are alike, one has this the other has that. Whether one uses it for business or leisure here is a list of features that the E75 is missing and ought to have had
