Here is a video of out favourite brand of mobile phones test center. If you were wondering how the Nokia phones are tested here is a small montage of a testing facility. I wonder if the E75 went through such tests?
MAEMO OS has taken Nokia fans by storm and has been the best thing that Nokia World 09 had to show. How would you like it if the next E-series device will run this brand new software?
Just think how easy it would be to multitask on a MAEMO phone and how much more useful a touch-screen on business phone would be rather than a multimedia one. I would definitely be excited to toy with such a device, I mean we have all seen what the N900 can do.
The Nokia E75 is foremost a business phone and I will not review its picture making capabilities or gaming capabilities. Two of the most important things about a business phon are bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
However, the E75 lacks a great deal in this department, as we all know its already famous bluetooth problems. Bluetooth works fine for a short period of time until it starts running out your battery. Which goes out at an alarming pace if you have a bluetooth headset. I have had no problems with bluetooth with this test device or I guess it depends on the compatibility. It takes a lot of time to establish a good connection but after that is done everything goes well.
The Wi-Fi connection works like a charm and I found hotspots that my E51 and my 5800 didn’ t even detect. Browsing on Wi-Fi and chatting is made a whole lot easier by the full QWERTY keyboard. The connection is somewhat stable and the speed is very good indeed. Much like its predecessor, the E71 , it has no problem in this department and the speed is quite good.
To conclude, the E75 may not be the best out there but it is still a great device to toy with. I have had it for two weeks now and it is just amazing. More on my personal experiences with this device you can read later this week when I will be making a detailed review of the device.
The Nokia Twist just got its first promo video. And because it is made for the NAM(North American) consumer market, this device has a pretty funny and clever commercial. This is one the funniest commercials by Nokia ever. Of course I think that Verizon, the company who will bring the device to the NAM soil, had a hand in it.
The Nokia E75 battery life has been of the most important issue with this phone. I have been testing the phone for over a week now and I have to say, so far the battery life of this phone is very good.
With or without dual mode this phone has yet to let me down. The battery lasts for around five days, give or take, which is an average battery life for any phone.
However if you keep your bluetooth on all day long the battery life will lose at least one day, but it is normal for any phone with bluetooth. We all know that this is a battery drainer.
To increase the battery life you need to shut down the bluetooth after you are done using it. The battery is relatively good although it may need some improvements.
The first twist Nokia Phone, the Nokia 7705 Twist, comes with a very unique full QWERTY keyboard. Equiped with a 3 Megapixel camera and auto-focus, this device will hit Verizon stores on September 21 at a price of 99.99$. Also this phone with a special post-to-blog feature. Which can make make bloging on your phone a lot easier and not to mention handy.
