SymbianGuru brings us a new application that I, for one, find it useful. The LoudSpeaker application turns your E75 into a hands-free.
The application is very interesting especially if you are tired of the old bluetooth hands-free. How it works? Well it just answers your phone when you have an incoming call and turns your speaker on. You might ask yourselves why you need this when you can do that by the press of a button. Well I tested it and it also amplifies your speaker and microphone. Thus giving a better sound quality and you don’t have to speak up when you are using it.
Also, you can customise the application. You can set up the time before it answers or the profile in which the application will answer. This is a cheap alternative to the bluetooth handsfree. So if you are in your car and you can’t use the phone the LoudSpeaker application is the way to go. It is easy to use and and spears you the time to set up a handfree in your car.
Today, at the Nokia Connection event held in Singapore, three new phones have been announced. Some of you may have heard about them and some may not.
The first was the Nokia E72,a full QWERTY device with extended email capabilities. The phone was design for those who want to stay connected. It comes with the Nokia Messagingapplication preinstalled so you can start the fun right out of the box. Also, it is great for IM applications and Twitter ones. The next step in the evolution of the E71, this device looks like it will be a hit.
The new touch device from Nokia has been revealed: Nokia 5530 Xpress Music. Of course, this time, they did a better job than they did with the 5800. The frame is made out of stainless steel, fact which gives the phone a better feel. The contacts bar can store up to twenty contacts now. Plus, the homescreen has widgets and a lot of cool new features. But, more on that in the future. The phone will start shipping in the third quarter of this year.
Last but not least, Nokia introduced the Nokia 3710 fold, a mobile device that balances eye-catching design with the latest in mobile functionality. The compact Nokia 3710 fold adds a personal touch with an artistic pattern on the cover and comes with an appealing array of features in a renewed, but instantly familiar user interface.
The upcoming Nokia E72′s video leaked by accident. The new E-series device looks amazing and it features a 5 megapixel camera. Also, according to the video the phone might feature and optical mouse or something similar to the Blackberry Curve 8520. I can hardly wait for the full specs on this new device.
Dance Fabulous, published by Nokia, has been released on N-Gage. The first cross-services game by Nokia incorporates both a music and gaming experience and offers its players a new way to enjoy and listen to music. Through a collaboration between Nokia, Interscope Records and music legend Dave Stewart, Dance Fabulous also introduces a pioneering artist, Cindy Gomez, including a dancing Gomez avatar and her brand new songs.
Players of Dance Fabulous perform their own choreography and collect points by creating cool moves and dancing to the music. In addition to customizing their own avatars, players can mix and match between a variety of dance styles and dance sets and share their fabulous moves with friends and other players via the N-Gage Arena.
“Dance Fabulous is a music game where players can use any music they have stored on their mobile device and download more of their favorite songs from the Nokia Music Store,” said Mark Ollila, Director of X-Media Solutions, Media & Games, Nokia. “Dance Fabulous offers its players a unique experience, enabling them to share their own visual content – the cool dance moves and the new dance styles they have created – and showcases how playing together with friends, combined with other rich community features, makes mobile games an essential part of mobile entertainment offering.”
The Canadian Cindy Gomez is the first artist to make her debut in a mobile game. Dance Fabulous features five of her songs, including the debut single “Again & Again”. And it’s not just Cindy’s voice you hear echoing through the title – as well as recording unique songs for Dance Fabulous, Cindy’s motion-capture studio involvement brings her own dance moves to the game in appearance of her very own Dance Fabulous avatar.
Cindy Gomez’s debut single “Again & Again” has been released in Nokia Music Store and has already made its way into the charts. Her debut album coming later this year will also be available for download in Nokia Music Store.

The Nokia E75 has received is first update after a few months from its release. This software includes several improvements for email, sync, connection reliability and readability.
The connection reliability and readability issues that has been fixed hope they include the all to famous bluetooth problem. The Nokia Software Update team have not made any official statement about the bluetooth connection but it seems to me that this is what they might be talking about. If you had issues with bluetooth hope this update fixes your issues. Please post your comments here if that is the case.
Other issues that this update has tackled are the VoIP and Wi-Fi stability. I have heard of Wi-Fi being unstable with the E75 and it seems that the Nokia Team has fixed it. Also, automatic lookup for contacts has been added to through this Update.
As you all know by now the new Nokia devices can e updated without using a PC connection. To get this update via you mobile phone just type on your home screen *#0000# or go to Device Manager>Options>Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. The update is also available through the Nokia Softaware Updater.
The Nokia E75 Forum is up and running, you can access it by clicking on the button from the upper right side of the blog.
So far there are no accounts and I thought that you should know about the new feature. Here you can talk about the things that may concern you or find solutions to your problems.
Tweet S60 is a program that brings twitter to your E75. Of course it is not the best app of this kind out there but it is a good start.
The app works great without any major glitches or bugs. But unlike most twitter app it is absolutely free of charge and it looks like a competitor to Gravity. With its simplistic design and without any glamour it is very fast, so maybe that is a plus. The tweets are displayed in a nice box with the picture of the twitter on the left side.
The options menu is very simple an features the most common twitter commands, like retweet or reply. Also you can control your followers by adding or removing people from your friend list. Tweet S60 turned out to be quite interesting and a lot of fun.
How ever the missing graphic interface makes it look a little boring. I know the graphics are not very important for an app but it definitely makes the app look more professional. Well this is pretty much the only thing that this app is missing but it compensates for that by being free of charge.
To conclude, Tweet S60 is the app for you if don’t want to spend money on an app that you don’t really need. Because lets face it anyone can do without this kind of app by adding a bookmark to twitter.com to your mobile web browser.
As of today you can follow The Nokia E75 Blog on Twitter via Twitter Feeds. All you have to do is to click follow next to the blog’ s Twitter account. Thus you will be up to speed will al the latest post from the blog and many more. You will not receive any updates via email, only on your Twitter account page.

Also a brand new blog has emerged My Lovely Gadgets, a blog about the latest gadgetry and news from the ever popular gadget world.
The Nokia Ovi Store Application has been released in my country as well. And since my country seems to be the last to get the latest, I think it is available worldwide.
The app is definitely an improvement to the website. It is easier to use and has detailed descriptions plus some even have screenshots. I haven’t got much time experimenting with the OVI app, but it seems to be very stable. Downloading app from the store is easy and they install automatically on your memory card. I mean, that’s what it does in my case. The design is nice and simple, and as plus it has star rating for each application you might like. Also, you can choose which type of apps to display from the “Options “menu.
Now let’s talk about its not so good aspects. To start, scrolling through the app menu is done with a fair rate of difficulty when you first start the app. The “Sign In” option is very very very very bad, it took like half an hour last time I started the app. Every time I wanted to sign in and started texting my account name it just went out of the text field. And I would have to highlight it over and over again. Another big mishap was the search field, the same thing happens as I said above. The only way for me to sign in was after I tried to download an app. Also it keeps asking me if I want to turn bluetooth on, why would I need bluetooth to connect to the OVI Store?
All in all, the OVI Store app is better than the mobile web site but it still has a lot of major issues. Hope the guys at OVI are still working at it because if not I am afraid it will turn out to be a major flop.
As many of you know the E75 has been known to have bluetooth problems. The readers of this blog made me aware of this problem and I have been reading their comments on this issue trying to come up with a solution to their problem.
Since I doubted that the actual bluetooth device was the problem, because the E75 is a follow up to the well known E71, I thought that the problem might lie in the software. Also, when I bought my E51 from Orange the phone had a lot of issues because they had tampered with the firmware. When I reinstalled the firmware a lot of those issues where gone and the phone worked faster and better.Taking in consideration those factors, I thought that for the E75’s bluetooth problem reinstalling the firmware might do the trick.
And I found out that it worked for some. So if you have problems than you should try my suggestion. Thanks for reading the E75 blog and I await your future comments on this issue and many more.
