Nokia E75 App Review: Gravity

The Gravity application for the E75 brings Twitter to your fingertips. You can check your tweets from your E75 and post new ones. Keep up to date with your friends just by texting on your cell.

You can send and receive tweets very easy, just select  Go Online! and after you select your access point Update Now!. Checking up on your Twitter accounts has never been easier. Post your thoughts and news via Twitter on the go.

With a great design and a very easy to use interface the Gravity application for Twitter is by far the best of test, in my opinion. I have tested others, but none as good as this one. You don’t need any advanced setting or anything. Just tap in your user name and password.

Moreover, when you want to post a tweet it displays the number of characters you have left. Like in an SMS, a trait which other Twitter clients lack completely. Keeping up with your friends and family or with the latest news is as easy as pie. Just check out the tutorial at the bottom of the post, that I found on YouTube.

To sum up, the Gravity application for Symbian OS  has a lot to offer especially for Twitter fans. Which, by the way, has been increasing in the last few months and keeps on growing. Plus the E75‘s full QWERTY keyboard makes the application all the more fun to use and enjoy.

Top 3 Twitter Applications

Twitter is a social networking site that has been growing in popularity lately. With Twitter you can send short updates, about 140 words, allowing your friends to see what you are doing.

twitter Top 3 Twitter ApplicationsEverybody seems to be quite ecstatic about this and a lot of people have been making accounts. And plus it is a great way to promote your blog. The latest news are that Apple wants to buy it for a large sum of money.

Since the interest in this site has been growing I thought for all you tweetters out there that I should make a top three Twitter applications for Nokia E75:

  1. Gravity. This is by far the best Twitter application out there. It supports multiple accounts it is fast and easy to use. The interface is very fast it has big buttons and when you type you can see the number of characters you have left. When you click on a tweet it displays a few options like retweet or displays a link if it comes with a link. Not to mention that it looks great, kind of an iPhone menu navigation style.
  2. Twittix. A very simple twitter application that works fast but not as fast as Gravity and it doesn’t have its unique style. Its displays your tweets list style. But it is not that stable and it has less features than Gravity.
  3. Fring. Is actualy a chat application that I have posted about. It is one of the greatest out there and has a lot of features. But its Twitter addon needs some more work.

Of course, there are other Twitter applications but I think the top three are the most important. If you like Twitter than I suggest Gravity

What If Sony and Nokia made a phone?

What if Sony and Nokia made a phone together, merging the Sony PSP with the Nokia E75. I mean how awesome would it be to play PSP games on your Nokia E75.

Just think of the graphics quality and the advanced gameplay, not to mention the fact that it would increase the E75 ‘s  speed. Faster processor, better graphics and an amazing phone. It would probably be the best phone in the world. It would be the perfect mix between business and pleasure, a cocktail of  fun and work.

I know that this may never be, because they are competitors, but still it is nice to think about it. They could add the control buttons on the sliding QWERTY and the UMDT drive on the right side. Plus with the UMDT you can actually make the step forward in installing whatever OS you might like, as I said in my previous What If ? post

They could make the screen bigger like the PSP and it wouldn’t hurt to throw in a touchscreen. Plus with the E75 ‘s accelerometer buttons would be obsolete on this model. Plus the PSP can use the E75 ‘s camera also, after all it is a pretty good one. And plus a 3.2 Mpx camera is way better than what you can buy for the PSP

To conclude, this looks like a lot of fun and I even thought of name for this terminal: The SonyNokia PSP 75. Hope they make this model. And if you like it please tell what name you would give it.

Nokia E75 App Review: Fring the E75

If you are always on the go an have trouble keeping up with things at home, then Fring is the way to go. Fring is an instant messenger application, that supports up to thirteen different accounts including Yahoo, Gmail and Twitter.

    Go to Fring Website

With Fring you can send files, have conversations with voice( if you have a Skype account) and instant messaging with your friends and loved ones. Whether you are on the go or just having a cup of coffee and you want to check up with your friends, then Fring makes all this possible.

Very easy to configure, just type your account name and password. Then just sit back and chat. Now, Fring comes with We-Fi add-on which means you can search for free wireless networks and choose which one to use. We-Fi is also one of the best wi-fi search application for hot-spots. You tag your favourite hot-spots and choose the ones that suit your needs best.

Moreover, you can use Fring to send files. If you just filmed or took a photo of something and you want to share with your friends. Than just start Fring and you can send it. Whether it is a picture or any kind of file it works just as fine. The item can be sent to a computer or another phone, and it is done almost instantly. I have tested this and it works without any errors. But you need a stable Internet connection to use this feature or the VoIp

To conclude, Fring is another must have application for the E75 and for every Nokia phone. After all the Nokia motto is “Connecting People”. And, in my opinion, Fring is the best way to do that.

Nokia E75 App Review: Nokia Email

In my previous posts I talked about Nokia Messaging the service, but not the actual application. You can run the application for free even if it is not available in your own country.nokia messaging Nokia E75 App Review: Nokia Email

If you do not want to subscribe to Nokia Messaging service then you have to check your mail manually. Which I prefer, because of two reasons. The first and most important , it is absolutely free of charge. And second because I can choose when to check my mail, instead of receiving notifications all the time, like an SMS.

The application is quite good and I wonder why they don’t make it a built in for all phones. It has a very good design and it is very simple to use and configure. I used a Gmail account and I just had to type my user name and password and everything was ready in 5 minutes. It didn’t need any further setting because it got everything it needed preset. Email on your phone has never been better and easier.

With a very simple interface Nokia Email application is by far the best application of this type I have tested. On the main screen you have only a few buttons. To sync your email account just tap the sync button and leave the rest to your phone. If you have the service enabled from your provider the sync buttons is useless because it syncs automatically. Reading mail is very easy with this application because it displays HTML email also.

To conclude, the Nokia Email application is definitely a plus for the E75 and a must have if you do not have it already.

What If You Could Choose Your Mobile Phone’s OS?

The Nokia E75 is a Symbian phone an there for it comes with a preinstalled version of Symbian. But what if you could install a different OS ?

To be more specific, I mean what if you could install a different OS  just like you install a Windows. That would be just awesome, if you ask me. And it seems the logical nokia e75 what if What If You Could Choose Your Mobile Phones OS?way that phones should evolve. Just imagine an E75 with Windows Mobile or Mac OS

Since freedom, nowadays  is the main topic of discussion, I think that having the OS of your choosing is the best way to emphasise that. Thus giving you the opportunity to choose what applications to use, because some applications are not available for all systems. So if you installed Android, than you could install applications for it.

Moreover, having such freedom with a phone can make the choice of phones easier. Then you would only have to look at the requirements for the OS you might want. And buy your phone accordingly to whatever OS you might like your phone to have. Or how about running multiple operating systems on one phone.

How cool would it be to start your phone and you can choose which OS to run. It gives you a better feel of each one and makes the choice a lot easier. Plus if you cannot find an application for one you can run it on another. You can use one for work and one for fun.

To conclude, choosing your own OS is a great improvement to the world of mobile devices especially with so many popping out in the last two years. Hope this doesn’t remain just another what if? and soon I will be talking about this a reality .

    Nokia E75 Blog New Category

nokia e75 what if Nokia E75 Blog New Category

To begin I would like to let you know that in my country it was Labor Day, which means that for one day nobody went to work. So I took some time to think what should I bring to this blog to make it better. And as I was taking a shower it just came to me.

I am a big comic book fan and one of the most fascinating things that I have seen is “Marvel’ s What If?” comics. In which they think about the most popular characters and what would happen if the defining moments of their lives never actually happened. Like” What if Uncle Ben Never died?” or “What if Peter Parker was the Hulk?”, so from now onI will bring you the Nokia E75‘ s What If?”.

Here I will be talking about different direct that Nokia might have went with the new Nokia E75 or features that the phone might have used or ben fun to toy with.

The things that I will be talking about may or may not happen most of them will be from the top of my head and may not ever happen. But that is what makes it more fun, and plus I have been thought that I have a pretty vivid imagination.

The reason why I made this post is to let you know about my intentions for this category and what to expect from now on. If you have any ideas please don’t hesitate to contact me via the comments column.
