This is the first post from this new section of the blog, and the reason I started this is because people need to know what are the major problems with the E75 and if there is a solution. Plus recently it came to my attention that the E75 may have a bluetooth problem.
If you have encountered this problem than please comment here, but if you could please state which country are you from. Also if have any other questions about the E75 or notice another malfunction please post it here.
I will try to answer your questions and come up with solutions to your problems.

I`am trying to do a hard reset and it`s asking for a un lock code can any one help with this thanks.
I bought the red E75-2 (NAM) from Dell and received it last week. I did the firmware reinstall because I was having the bluetooth problems, did a hard reset, reinstalled the backup file…and suddenly the tones/ringer wasn’t working. So I went to the backup file again, this time just reinstalling the settings. Software said “phone will now restart.” Never did. Now it says “Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer.” Can’t access anything, can’t hard reset or do anything. WTF???

I have a serious troubleshooting with my E75. The front keypad does not work out, neither the D pad. However, when I slide it, the QWERTY keyboard works out,but the front one is still inactive. I am unable to do any hard formatting due to the fact that green button does not work out.
Has anyone experienced this before? please help…

Yes this can happen sometimes, there is another way to do a hard reset : *+3+Green button try this
Go to your retailer and tell him this might be a hardware problem. Also try doing the sequence while powering up.

I put new sim card from another mobile provider on my E 75 yesterday and since that time i have an envelope on the screen as if new sms has arrived on my phone constantly and not dissapearing .I try to swith off & on but no any change .I had deleted some of the sms on my phone ,no change .Please help me with advice what should i do for that problem to be rectified ,thank you in advance
the text message indicator in the right uper corner of the screen has been flashing constatntly since I first switched the phone on. I’ve checked twice, there are no unread text messages in any of the folders.i have emptied the email box and msg box and all,k and still flashing…. Has anyone had similar problem?

For Text Box popping on right hand corner, goto Messaging>Option>SIM Messages> and then delete all the sim messages or cut and paste them in phone memory/memory card, your prob of text Box pop up will be solved.
Somebody please answer my question, what is the meaning of dual network, is it bettr to keep the network in dual mode or change it to GSM
I have tested this and I have not seen the difference. Maybe it boosts up the battery life a little but not by much in my case. I keep it in dual mode and when 3G is unavailable it just goes into GSM mode. Usualy 3G has lower coverage in my country so I guess it depends on where you live and where you are planning on going.

To change the delay before phone diverts to voice mail, go to control panel > settings > phone > call divert > voice calls > if not answered > activate. You can then choose the diverted number (usually preset to mailbox) and then the delay in seconds before the diversion happens. Hope this helps.
My music player doesn’t seem to let me go forward or rewind within the same song; it only allows me to jump to the next or the previous song. This becomes a problem with long podcasts, which are saved automatically in “songs” when I download them . Is there a solutino to this? Thanks in advance.
While trying to connect internet, the connection was not getting and then I stopped the connection. Immediately the phone hanged. after some minutes I removed the battery. Later the phone started but no connectivity. It shows mobile is in “offline’.How to clear offiline and connectivity.

I had the same problem with the phone building the cache every time I went to search contacts. What ended up working on my phone was simple.
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Remove SIM card.
3. Wait a few minutes.
4. Reinsert SIM card and power up phone.
After I did that the caching problem was gone. My suspicion is that perhaps the SIM card was not getting proper contact. Just a theory.

i have problem with my cell phone nokia e75, yesterday the phone is turned of and thought it need charging but when i tried to turn it on is just gave me a light on the screen and vibrate, after few seconds it is turn off again, and every time im trying to turn it on its give me the same problem, please can you tell me what i have to do with my cell phone?
I received my new E75 yesterday and since I turned it on the message envelope keeps flashing even though I have no new or unread messages. Is this normal? If not how can I rectify this?
@zelle: no it’s not normal, but you should check again if you have any unreaded message in your inbox (sms or email). If that doesn’t work, completly turn off your phone and try again.

When I set E75 SMS save to memory card. I found Nokia PC suite can’t read it. it works in case of put E75 phone memory in use.
Does anyone encounted this ? and what is the solution ?

@Lufifix: I tried all of that. I even deleted all my messages. There are no unread emails or messages. I removed my simcard and replaced it again. Removed memory card and replaced it again. Still the annoying flashing envelope will not go away. Any other advice? Please?
@Lucifix. Afther reading the whole blog, I found somebody else with the same problem. The solution was to delete all “sim messages” after copying them to my memory card

Just got a new E75. One problem, does not work well with WLAN, I keep getting “no gateway” errors. Initial connection normally works, but after that nothing happens. Same both at work and at home.

Hi, im having a problem with my camera on my e75, when i press the camera button on the side of the phone it does not go to the camera? Does the e75 not have this feature?
More importantly then that Tho is the camera button has stopped working, period. If i go to camera normally and have an image in sight that i want to capture, and i press the camera button, the small rectangle on the screen goes red or green and then the phone makes a beep. When i do press the button Tho and the lighting is bad the flash does come on, so obviously the button is working, it just doesnt capture the image. Same goes for if im in video mode and press it. It jus beeps once but does not start recording. If i set the camera to timer and activate it, it does take pictures. The secondary camera is working perfectly Tho. Its just this main camera and the designated camera button. Please help me

I was having the same problem. I noticed while re-referring to manual that in Contacts-> Options-> Settings, ‘Default contact list’ was missing. So went to Menu-> Help -> Welcome-> SW checker and some kind of update was made as I was online via wifi. After that I could quick search. BUT I noticed all my contacts were duplicated!!! And the missing menu was still missing!!
There is another problem. I bought my e75 from an arab country and PC suite is in Arabic. I tried to find one in English in nokia website bt I found no compatible version with e75. Whats going on?
I found the english version of pc suite compatible with e75 and it works fine. I backed up and did the hard reset abd then restored everything. Guess what… the cantacts list is the same–duplicated. One is blank and the other has info. If I delete one (blank one) the corresponding one also gets deleted. This is so annoying. Moreover, it sort of hangs.

Will Nokia be providing a more powerful battery for the E75? It seems like everyone, like myself, is frustrated with the poor battery life.
I also had a similar problem with the flashing message icon but on my E52. I read else where that replacing your sim card with a newer one works. As mine was 4 years old, I had nothing to lose, it worked.
I have same problem with bluetooth at E 75.
I have Audi Q 7 with MMI.
Nokia disconected after I speak first time.
In the past I had Nokia E 50 .This phone has worked excelent with bluetooth on same car.
I was at Service Guaranty ,they tell me did Upgrade for soft but doesn’t work even now.
I very dissapointed by E 75 because the price of this is not corelated with quality.
All tests it was necessary to be done before to go out on market by Nokia.

Hi, i have a nokia e75.
and my phone used to have a pop up on the screen that would tell me whenever i had new text messages or voicemails, but now it doesn’t alert me at all when i have a new message. the only indication it gives me is that the phone light flashes, but it does not vibrate or ring even though my phone is set to.
any ideas how to fix it?
Most of these bluetooth problems are solved by doing the following:
menu > control panel > connectivity > bluetooth > paired devices (press right cursor) > highlight device > options > set as authorised.
Don’t do this unless you want your phone to automatically connect and stay connected to the device whenever it is within proximity.
My problem is this… i can’t figure out how to disable my 3G, GPRS connection. I get a lot of emails and the data charges are killing me (i live in South Africa we have the highest in the world). So i only want to connect the WLAN? Is this possible?

i have had my e75 for maybe a month and it works great until recently it just started to restart all by itself . . . all the time! And sometimes while i’m texting the screen goes into camera mode. What is happening? Is my phone infected with a virus? Should i hard reset it?

I updated my firmware and now the sensor settings in my e75 are gone. the subject bar in msgs too has disappeared.
I am also not able to find out how to pair my bluetooth handsfree with the phone.

hey, i have a problem wiht my E75, after updating the firmware, i got the contact’s problem : if the contact was save with the area code so the cntact’s name doesn’t appear on the screen when he called me but i can see his name when i receive a message. if i save the contact withour the area code, i can see his name when the contact call me but the number on my inbox.

Hi, im having a problem with my camera on my e75, when i press the camera button to snap picture the flash light is not working.i tried to restart it still the same.i even tried the setting from camera menu still not working, Any ideas?
I have a brand new E75. However, I am struggling with the tones. The tones sound fine when I select them, but if the phone is dialled, the ringtone just gives one “beep” and then it goes on silent mode. To clarify, only the first half second of the tone/theme sound is audible, then it stops. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hi Alex, very nice discussion blog. Have a E75 and love it (replacing the 9300i). Had the following problems:
1. The phone would switch off out of the blue(even with fully recharged battery)
Solution: was fixed by the service provider
2. The message icon was blinking non-stop
Solution: erased all SIM messages
3. The battery life was very short
Solution: switched off packet data and blue tooth
4. The camera capture button only works at times; most of the time it does not work.
No solution at hand!
E75. All the contacts appear twice in my nokia E75, and I tried backing up, deleting all contacts and restoring from back up. The nokia PC suite shows only 1 contact. Why this? The problem is sometimes when i want top mesage or dial a contact, the call dials to a different contact. Pls help.
