Today I will be reviewing the Divx Player for Nokia E75. As some of you know this is a freeware and can be found on the Divx Website. The player can play .avi movies on your E75, the built in player can only play .mp4 and .3gp.
The DivX Player is a free player and enables your phone to play .avi files. As Nokia phones don’t come with codecs for .avi files, and the E75 is no exception, the guys at DivX Labs made a player for Symbian phones. It is not hard to use and has few settings like tilt your screen left or right or enabling full screen when you start playback.
The movies play without any lag or just very little at least. Movies can be either played in full screen and the seeking bar hides itself after a few moments. Also, seeking is enabled in this player so if you missed or just want to see something again then just use the directional keys. Right is for fast forward and left is rewind. Your videos are displayed like thumbnails on the main screen and you can choose to deactivate this option. Thus displaying only name and file size. Setting brightness, contrast and saturation are also among the list of options that one might need for some videos.
All in all, the player is very well built it doesn’t have any major issues and for those there are updates quite frequently. If you need to play an .avi file this is a very good alternative to the Smart Movie Player and plus it is absolutely free.

Would you know which one the Nokia E75 uses, would it be the Symbian OS 9 S60 3rd Edition download, or the Symbian OS 9 UIQ 3.0 one? Thanks in advance!
its 3rd UIQ is for other phones with symbian such as samsung
thank you for the prog
I’ve installed Divx player on my E75 and it has random cracked on high quality videos and every 10 o 15 seconds on normal videos. This videos are OK on my N81-8GB. My E75 has been updated to the last firmware and no other applications are loaded in memory. Any idea?
Thanks.
