Nokia E75 App Review – nAlert Me

By | April 8, 2009

Have you ever left your phone unattended  and it got stolen or just had your privacy invaded? Well, the guys at AikonLab have made an application especially for this type of situations: nAlertMe for Nokia E75.

The application uses the accelerometer feature of your phone, so when someone picks it up or just moves it a little the alarm starts. If the phone is not set in the right sequence the alarm keeps ringing until the user inputs the right sequence. It worked without any delay and the sound was quite loud so I could hear it from across the apartment.

Furthermore, I have personally tested this and it works wonders. At first I did not know at what it might need use, but then I just left the phone unattended. When someone picked it up after a few seconds it started ringing and scared the person handling it.

The upside is that if anyone picks up the phone he cannot stop the application or access anything  else without the right sequence code.

To sum up, this is a great application that turned out to be quite useful for me even though I didn’t know if it ever will turn out to be.
